American Airlines forecasts it can save $175,000 annually by not automatically printing 12.5 million boarding passes at its check-in kiosks. Beginning this month, we are about to find out if it is a correct assumption. 

Travis County District Court judge Catherine Mauzy awarded $6.6 million to four former senior aides to Attorney General Ken Paxton who said they were fired after reporting Paxton to the FBI. She ruled Paxton’s office had violated the Texas Whistleblower Act. Each aide was awarded between $1.1 and $2.1 million for wages lost, and compensation for emotional pain, attorney’s fees and other costs.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas reached 3-year agreements that will keep Texas Health Resources and UT-Southwestern hospitals, facilities and providers at in-network rates. The deal is retroactive to April 1 and claims that were processed out-of-network between April 1-4 will be reprocessed as in-network.

Significant stat: A record $6.6 trillion = How much value the U.S. stock market shed during the past two sessions, according to Dow Jones Market Data. The biggest two-day pullback previously was the 2020 onset of the Covid-19 market, when $4.4 trillion of value evaporated March 11 and 12. The market is down this morning.

Attorney General Ken Paxton's office is investigating Kellogg’s for potentially violating Texas consumer protection laws. Texas is alleging Kellogg's advertises Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes and Rice Krispies as “healthy,” yet some are filled with petroleum-based artificial food colorings.
