D-FW International Airport will be the fourth location for private jet service operator Jet Out. The company offers days-based, co-ownership and co-leases on a fleet of Citation CJ4 Gen 2 light jets. Jet Out said it would be operational before year-end.

That didn’t last long: GM has scrapped a program aimed at allowing its dealers to continue offering for several months a $7,500 tax credit on electric vehicle leases following the Sept. 30 expiration of the federal subsidy. “After further consideration, we have decided not to claim the tax credit,” the company told Reuters.
Circuit Systems Co. in Arlington has received Planning and Zoning Commission approval to expand its facility on West Pioneer Parkway, adding about 23,000 square feet to the existing building of 11,880 square feet, according to the Arlington Report. The request will go to City Council Tuesday. The company is family-owned, was incorporated in 1984 and produces aerospace bonding jumper cables, bus bars and grounding straps.
Tarrant To & Through Partnership is opening T3 P2C Innovation Lab, a partnership powered by Tarleton State University Fort Worth at Tarrant County College. T3 President and CEO Natalie Williams said a formal announcement is coming, but mentioned the Innovation Lab is a collaborative space where the T3 team can create and design future opportunities for Tarrant County students.
Beginning Monday, and until Oct. 19, Texas residents will not have to pay to apply to in-state public colleges and universities for undergraduate programs. First-time college students, transfer students and students returning to school are eligible.
The Small Business Innovation Research program (SBIR), a life-blood for many startup and small businesses in D-FW, is in jeopardy. Nine days ago, funding for SBIR lapsed, and lawmakers are at an impasse about whether it should be re-funded in its current form. For 43 years, SBIR has provided seed funding to small businesses for technology development, with the Defense Department as the largest program participant.
