Berkshire Hathaway announced it would acquire home builder Taylor Morrison in an $8.5-billion deal, the sixth largest acquisition in its history. In the space, Berkshire owns premium real estate and home services, Clayton manufactured homes and Acme Brick. (FYI - Top two acquisitions: Precision Castparts in 2016 for $37 billion and Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway for $34 billion in 2010. Largest holding: Approximately $58 billion of Apple stock.)
