Fort Worth and Royal Capital, the developer of the planned Evans and Rosedale urban village, have an understanding on a revised financial package that increases Royal Capital's cost $2 million to $63 million total. It is expected to vote on the package Oct. 28, and if passed, the project would begin development in 2026. 

Fort Worth is considering a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district for Walsh Ranch. A TIF district uses future property tax increases generated by new development to fund a project. Fort Worth has 11 TIF districts. 

A 31,234-square-foot estate at 1469 Sunshine Lane in Southlake is “the most expensive” residential transaction recorded in Tarrant County. It was last listed at $12.5M on MLS and sold via Concierge Auctions; the auction house reported a $14.224M result. Most expensive is interpreted as highest price recorded in MLS; private, off-MLS transactions wouldn’t appear.

While Fort Worth firefighter Caleb Halvorson was hospitalized recovering from injuries suffered at a fire, he was focused on one thing -- Hudson. Born 13 weeks premature at one pound, nine ounces, Hudson was in the NICU. He now holds two records -- the smallest birth weight and the longest stay. The two fighters are finally home.

Texas families wanting to participate in the state’s school voucher program can apply as soon as February; the application process for private schools will launch before the end of the year.

An Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership will acquire all equity in Dallas-based Aligned Data Centers, with the deal valuing Aligned at about $40 billion.

GE Aerospace’s independent charitable organization announced plans for a five-year, $30-million workforce skills training program for 10,000 to address a nationwide shortage of highly skilled manufacturing workers. Included is $2.5 million to educational institutions, with Tarrant County Community College receiving $250,000. 

Fort Worth’s Pat Green will record a live album during two concerts at Luckenbach Dancehall Nov. 7-8. It is the first live album at the venue in more than 30 years.

Tarrant County commissioners voted, 3-2, to approve a two-year contract with Recana Recruiting and Staffing Solutions in an effort to reduce overtime hours at the jail. The cost was not publicized, but the purchasing department memo read the contract will be funded “through offsetting overtime costs and salary savings from vacant positions."

LanCarte Commercial finalized a lease agreement with Tarrant County Emergency Services on a 31,780-square-foot industrial building with office space on three acres at 14485 U.S. 377 in Fort Worth. The Fort Worth selection for 2026 Neighborhood Improvement Program dollars is New Mitchell in the southeast quadrant of the city. The roughly $4.4 million transformative project will follow a three-year timeline.

Westlake-based Charles Schwab Corporation reported net income for the third quarter totaling $2.4 billion, or $1.26 earnings per share.

Tarrant-based design-build general contractor Speed Fab-Crete completed construction on the 41,688-square-foot Classic Honda of Midland dealership. The facility, on seven acres, includes a two-story main dealership building, a pre-owned vehicle facility, and a car wash.
