Fort Worth-based Crescent Real Estate acquired 2100 McKinney, a 350,000+-square-foot Class A office tower in Uptown Dallas, The property sits near major cultural and entertainment anchors, including Klyde Warren Park and the American Airlines Center. Crescent said it plans a multi-million-dollar renovation, adding the tower to its growing portfolio of Uptown assets that now spans roughly 25 contiguous acres.

Fort Worth investor Luther King -- Luther King Capital Management -- whose family ranch holdings exceed 100,000 acres across Texas, just went bigger in the Hill Country. His family acquired San Saba River Ranch, a 5,067-acre spread in McCulloch County, the property’s first change in ownership since 1898.

Fort Worth-based Dignum Financial Partners has joined Raymond James Financial Services, bringing roughly $420 million in client assets to the platform. Dignum is led by financial advisors E. Kim Dignum and Ryan Dignum and includes office manager Shana Wright and office assistant Hope Caldwell. The group specializes in customized planning for multi-generational families.

Modern Aviation, an Amarillo-based fixed-base operator, filed two permits to construct new hangars at Meacham International Airport. The hangars will include attached 4,375 square feet of office space, according to the filing. The construction timeline is March 1-Nov. 5 with a total cost of $30 million. Modern is not new to Meacham. In May 2024, it purchased American Aero. 

Gary Patterson, the winningest football coach in TCU history, is one of 18 players and four coaches named as part of the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class. Patterson, inducted in his first year on the ballot, served as head football coach at TCU from 2000 to 2021, compiling a record of 181–79. His 2010 team finished 13-0 after a 21–19 Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin, and ranked second in the major polls. 

President Trump announced his healthcare plan, which intends to give the money going to healthcare providers directly to the people. According to the plan, the intent is to "slash prescription drug prices, reduce insurance premiums, hold big insurance companies accountable, and maximize price transparency in the American healthcare system."

The University of North Texas this fall will start Texas Promise, an initiative for first-time freshmen in Texas who reached certain academic levels and whose family income is under $100k. The offer? Free tuition and mandatory fees for up to four years.

Radiology Associates of North Texas, a Fort Worth-based private imaging group, signed a 5-year, $29-million enterprise imaging deal with Visage Imaging. It offers a cloud-based storage platform and viewer, unifying interpretations across a single solution. 

Westcore acquired a 160,000-square-foot distribution building at 2600 Graham Cracker Drive in Fort Worth for an undisclosed price. Westcore had bought three existing buildings at the site in 2023. This acquisition, a 645,000-square-foot, Class A industrial campus on approximately 40 acres, has a one-year sale leaseback. 

Since filing for bankruptcy Tuesday, Saks Global Holdings has secured a financing commitment of approximately $1.75 billion, comprising $1.5 billion from an ad hoc group of the company’s senior secured bondholders and approximately $240 million of incremental liquidity from its asset-based lenders. The company also announced that executive chairman and CEO Richard Baker has stepped down, replaced as CEO by Geoffroy van Raemdonck, formerly head of Neiman Marcus Group.

Eggsellent: The Attorney General's office finalized a settlement with Cal-Maine Foods, which includes Cal-Maine donating approximately 2,160,000 eggs to food banks across Texas. Cal-Maine, one of the largest egg suppliers in the state, was sued in April 2020 for illegally raising the cost of eggs by around 300 percent. 

Haltom City-based Just Right Products formed a joint venture with 5Q and Johnson Concrete Contractors, expanding its reach into government-funded concrete and construction projects across north Texas. Combining 5Q’s construction experience with Just Right Products’ existing government relationships and vendor capabilities, the joint venture is positioned to pursue municipal and government contracts within the sector.

Ally Medical Emergency Room, a free-standing emergency medical care facility, has opened in Burleson, the company’s 10th location in Texas.

Southlake-based Sabre Corporation formalized a long-term technology partnership with AirBorneo, the airline owned by the government of Malaysia’s Sarawak state. AirBorneo has selected Sabre’s advanced technology solutions to support its planning and pricing strategies since launching this month. 

Sabre also announced an investment and strategic partnership with BizTrip AI to develop and bring to market a suite of AI-powered corporate travel assistants that utilize natural language processing to handle complex booking workflows, real-time itinerary management, and intelligent policy automation for the industry.

Fort Worth-based Architectural Fabrication and Justin-based Armetco Systems have merged their operations, combining two providers of architectural metal products onto a single platform aimed at expanding national reach in architectural cladding, fabrication and specialty aluminum systems.

Tarrant County commissioners approved more than $135,000 in funding for legal counsel. They approved $60,000 to retain attorneys for two county employees named in a lawsuit from the family of Anthony Johnson Jr., who died in custody at Tarrant County Jail in 2024, and $75,200 in additional funding for legal counsel as part of a lawsuit from Tarrant County residents last year over its mid-decade redistricting.

Fort Worth’s 41st Martin Luther King Day parade of floats, cars, bands and performances by local ROTC groups starts at 11 a.m. Monday. Participants are asked to arrive by10 a.m. for registration and line-up. The parade route begins at Commerce Street and travels along Main Street.
