Texas' Attorney General office opened an investigation into LinkedIn with allegations that the company has advertised and profited from fake or misleading job opportunities, commonly known as “ghost jobs,” on its platform.

Taiwan-based Foxlink Group celebrated the opening of its 147,780-square-foot technology manufacturing facility at Alliance Gateway 17, which it purchased earlier this year. The $9.2-million facility will establish a printed circuit board assembly operation expected to eventually create 900 jobs. Production could begin as early as August.
The U.S. House voted 308-117 last night to pass the Sunshine Protection Act, which would keep daylight savings time (March -November) year-round. The legislation heads to the Senate, where it faces an uncertain path, despite strong backing from the White House and President Donald Trump.

Believe it or not: A 67-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton nicknamed “Gus” sold Tuesday at Sotheby’s in New York for a record $50.1 million. The 38-foot-long fossil, discovered on private land in South Dakota, had been expected to bring $20 to $30 million. The sale topped the previous dinosaur-auction record of $44.6 million, set in 2024 by a stegosaurus named “Apex.”
Building on a transformative 2019 gift that made Justin Tower a reality, the Jane & John Justin Foundation again is playing a pivotal role in Texas Health Fort Worth's expansion. Construction soon will begin on a four-floor addition atop the current tower. Floors 11 and 12 will house the relocated Women’s Services center, including labor and delivery, nursery, dedicated operating rooms, as well as antepartum, postpartum and gynecology rooms. Floors nine and 10 will be shell space for future needs.
Architecture firms Parkhill and Komatsu have formed a partnership and will go forward as Parkhill. The new entity combines Parkhill’s integrated architecture and engineering capabilities with Komatsu Architecture’s expertise in architectural and interior design. In May, Arlington-based Graham Associates, a civil engineering and surveying firm, joined Parkhill. Founder Albert S. Komatsu was known for work on mid-century modern architecture and civic projects such as the Japanese Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. He died in 2024 at 97.

Federal prosecutors charged 53-year-old Richard Reinaldo Garcia, senior pastor of Garcia Church at 6801 Meadowbrook Dr. in Fort Worth, with orchestrating a scheme that allegedly defrauded more than 50 investors for more than $3.2 million through church renovation projects, Christian concert ventures and other religious investment opportunities. He was indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, two counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
Fort Worth-based Hayco Realty filed for annexation of 111.4 acres into Fort Worth and for zoning that would clear the way for commercial and mixed-use development, according to the Dallas Business Journal. The site is at the northwest corner of Farm-to-Market Road 1187 and Chisholm Trail Parkway. Plans for the development would include a grocery store, big-box retail and a hospital.
The American Train Dispatchers Association asked the Federal Railroad Administration to investigate “a serious software failure” in BNSF Railway’s dispatching system, and say a dispatcher “prevented what could have been a catastrophic accident." The request says BNSF knew of the system vulnerability for about a year and that software vendor Wabtec initially indicated it would take 14 months to correct. BNSF told Trains.com that it is “working on programing fixes to prevent the occurrence of this issue in the future."
