Federal regulators sent Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern back to the drawing board, rejecting the railroadsâ initial merger application. The Surface Transportation Board unanimously declared the Class I railroadsâ 7,000-page filing incomplete, saying it does not contain sufficient information required by its regulations. Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway opposes the merger.

The properties were listed for $28.5 million. The Greenmans will sell their 1,567-acre Oklahoma farm for $9.4 million.
