Farmers Branch-based Centurion American Development Group, which already is developing The Resort at Eagle Mountain Lake and The Estates at Eagle Mountain, has announced 4,000 more home lots at Alpha Ranch, an 1,825-acre residential development on Highway 114. Resident move-in would be mid-2026. The first phase will be located along newly constructed portions of Sendera Ranch Boulevard between Highway 114 and the future Eagle Parkway.

The Texas AAUP-AFT, a labor union to "promote economic security and quality education" in universities, says the University of North Texas administration has made sweeping changes to more than 200 course titles and descriptions in its College of Education, removing references to race, class, gender and equity. The union called it "an extreme overreach that threatens academic freedom."
