American Airlines flight attendants on Thursday voted on a new five-year labor deal, giving cabin crews more than 20% immediate raises.

At Cape Canaveral yesterday was the launch of AT&T and AST SpaceMobile's first five satellites to bring space-based calling to every day cell phones. AT&T called it the first step toward potentially eliminating "dead zones" from rural highways to national parks.

Horse Soldier Bourbon has bought a historic Stockyards cold-storage warehouse to remodel as a multi-million-dollar “bourbon wonderland,” according to the Star-Telegram's Bud Kennedy. The company, founded by former Green Berets, bought Los Vaqueros Restaurant to remodel as an Urban Stillhouse dining and events center.

Michelin has picked 4 hotels in Dallas, 2 in Fort Worth as Best in U.S. Bowie House received a two key designation, while Drover Hotel made the one key list. Twenty hotels in Texas were selected.

Central Market is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of in-store events through September 24. D-FW is home to the most Central Markets in the state with six.

Grapevine-based GameStop reported a profit of $0.01 per share, beating expectations of an $0.08 per share loss. Revenue came in lower than expected at $798.3 million, compared to analyst projections of $896 million. Net income for the quarter was $14.8 million, a significant improvement from the net loss of $2.8 million during the same quarter last year. This tactic could improve GameStop's performance, analyst says.

Tarleton State Fort Worth has added the Crowley Independent School District to its dual credit program in which high school students can take college courses simultaneously. Tarleton reported that more than 220 of its freshmen this fall were dual-credit high school graduates.
