BNSF will become the second major freight railroad to allow about 650 of its dispatchers to report safety concerns anonymously through a federal system without fear of discipline. All major railroads had agreed to participate after last year’s disastrous Norfolk Southern derailment in Ohio. Only Norfolk and BNSF have signed on.

Allied Universal Security Services, the company hired to provide security for the Trinity Railway Express, has lost a suit for $3 million to attorneys with Bailey & Galyen Attorneys at Law. The client, conductor John Farley, 39, was attacked at the T&P station in Fort Worth on June 18, 2021, leaving him with severe physical and emotional injuries.

Pinnacle Bank has moved to foreclosure against Opal Holdings, a New York investor, first on Burnett Plaza and more recently on Centerpoint, a four-building complex near Six Flags. The Dallas Business Journal reported both and the loans in default total approximately $55 million. 

Regulators investigating Boeing's 737 planes, plus delays in the delivery of its 787 planes, have left airlines to make major moves. American Airlines said it will make adjustments to certain routes in the second half of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025. Southwest had announced it was closing operations at four airports. 

American Airlines' newest onboard innovations won't be flying as soon as flyers might've expected. The Points Guy is reporting that Boeing delivery delays mean changes to AA's wide-body plans, including the introduction of its Flagship Business Suites and premium economy products that were scheduled for the new "787-9P" Dreamliner configuration.

Lena Pope’s pre-k through eighth grade Chapel Hill Academy is closing at the end of August because of charter school competition. The tuition-free school started in 2008. Lena Pope officials said its programs for counseling and early childhood services to children and families are thriving

Fort Worth-based AZZ Inc. announced the pricing of its underwritten public offering of 4,000,000 shares of common stock at a price per share of $70.00, for gross proceeds of $280,000,000. 

Bell Textron Inc. is closer to receiving state incentives for a $429 million advanced manufacturing plant it is considering in north Fort Worth. The Northwest ISD board approved Bell’s application for a 10-year tax abatement through the state’s incentive program, Chapter 403, which puts in motion a potential deal between Northwest ISD, Bell and the state. 

If your business accepted Visa or MasterCard payments from Jan. 1, 2004 through Jan. 25, 2019, you could be entitled to part of the $5.54 billion settlement for excessive swipe fees. The deadline to file is May 31.

  • Texas Collision Centers leased 63K square feet at North Quarter 35 in Fort Worth. Stream Realty’s Forrest Cook and Brett Carlton represented the landlord, Westcore. JLL represented the tenant.

  • Andover Properties expanded its Storage King USA facility at 7433 Fort Worth Drive in Argyle. The project added 39K square feet of units, some climate-controlled, as well as 6K square feet of flex space.
