Unreal real estate: An 8,400-square-foot mansion known as Westover Manor has been listed for $5.1 million. The estate is nearly 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed and built by architect Victor M Curtis, it was named Home Beautiful by the Star-Telegram in 1930.
Southwest Airlines and its approximately 20k union flight attendants reached a tentative agreement on a contract. Flight attendants had rejected a previous deal in December that would have given them a raise of 20%, followed by four annual raises of 3%. Attendants will be briefed on the contract next week, and voting should occur in a few weeks.
Fort Worth-based Red Productions, led by Red Sanders, is producing the movie Fruitcake. It is based on the accountant who stole $17 million from Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas. Jennifer Garner stars.
Rosalyn Rosenthal, one of Fort Worthâs greatest philanthropists, has passed away at the age of 99. Her contributions to health and arts non-profits were unmatched, and she and her deceased husband, Manny, built Standard Meat Co.

Fort Worth Academy instructor Lauren Parker was among eight teachers nationwide selected for a unique space-simulated opportunity. She went aboard the zero-gravity G-Force One Aircraft in Florida and took along experiments designed by her students. Then, she tested the studentsâ theories in zero gravity.
Twenty-four undergraduate programs will be offered to first- and second-year students at Tarleton State University's Fort Worth campus off Chisholm Trail Parkway beginning this fall. More programs will be added in 2025. They will join the established upper-level and graduate degree opportunities.
