Pioneers Rest Cemetary off Samuels Avenue is 174 years old, the oldest cemetery in Fort Worth. Archivist Shelley Gayler-Smith's job and passion is to preserve the history and records of the 1,566 souls buried at Pioneers. WFAA talked with her to see how she has un-buried their stories. 

In September, Springfield, Missouri-based Legacy Bank and Trust, which has more than $1.5 billion in assets, opened a branch at 5721 N. Tarrant Parkway in Fort Worth to build a presence in the D-FW market. Friday it made a splash in downtown Fort Worth by assuming ownership of the 167,000-square-foot Oil & Gas building at 307-309 West 7th Street. A partnership between Wolfe Investments and BlueLofts had planned to convert the property to apartments.

Fort Worth-based Green River Ordinance is releasing its first album since 2016, slated for April. It plans concerts in Fort Worth April 5 and 6. Friday, the band dropped the first single and title track from the album -- For Old Times' Sake -- on all streaming platforms.

Ford Motor Co. said it had halted shipments of all 2024 model year F-150 Lightning electric pickup trucks so it could perform quality checks for an issue it did not specify. The F-150 gas model is the most popular truck sold in Texas.

Intuitive Machines (LUNR) is the first commercial U.S. company to pull off a lunar landing and the first American spacecraft to reach the moon's surface since Apollo 17 in 1972. The uncrewed spacecraft, Odysseus, landed and sent shares soaring 37% Friday. "On the eighth day of a quarter-million-mile voyage, Intuitive Machines aced the landing of a lifetime," said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, calling it "a triumph for humanity."

Teremana Tequila, a premium, small-batch tequila founded by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has signed an agreement to be the official tequila of the Texas Rangers. Teremana is already working with next-door neighbor Texas Live! Teremana cocktails will be sold in Globe Life Field and there will be a Teremana Terrace beyond centerfield. Teremana is also collaborating with the Rangers for a monthly Viva Tejas series to celebrate Hispanic culture in Texas. 

After requesting up to $10k in reimbursement for taking riders to vote at poll sites March 5 and being rebuffed by Tarrant County Commissioners, Trinity Metro has decided to offer free rides on its dime. Buses, ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare services, ACCESS paratransit, TEXRail, and Trinity Railway Express stations in Tarrant County will provide free rides.

H-E-B is looking for the best local businesses in Texas. H-E-B Quest for Texas Best is an open call for small food, beverage, and general merchandise suppliers to have their products on H-E-B shelves and compete for $70,000 in cash prizes. Application deadline is Thursday, April 4.
