Fort Worth-based SEGG Media Corporation, a technology company at the intersection of sports, entertainment and gaming, has acquired a 51% interest in DotCom Ventures (DVI), which owns the Concerts.com and TicketStub.com brands. The transaction placed an initial valuation on DVI of $10 million and adds a third pillar alongside SEGG's portfolio of Sports.com and Lottery.com. Matthew McGahan is the Chairman and CEO of SEGG.
Presta Royalty, led by long-time oil and gas owner Jonny Brumley, acquired 18,000 net mineral acres and royalty assets of a 98-year-old Oklahoma-focused mineral company. The assets span 96 counties throughout Oklahoma and 12 other states. Presta financed the acquisition with cash-on-hand and its credit facility provided by UMB Bank.
Southlake-based Gore Range Capital announced that Waldencast agreed to acquire Novaestiq Corp., a portfolio company of Gore's. Novaestiq, a joint-venture with Croma-Pharma GmbH, is developing a series of breakthrough injectable hyaluronic acid gels; Waldencast will launch the injectable line under its Obagi Medical brand of fillers.
