Two of Fort Worth’s iconic institutions, the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial and Kincaid’s Hamburgers, both founded in 1946, are co-celebrating their 80th anniversaries during the Charles Schwab Challenge, May 27-31. Kincaid’s burgers make their debut Thursday-Sunday in the three on-course Villages, and to fans at the concession location at hole No. 13. Saturday.

Textron announced its intent to separate its approximate $3-billion Industrial segment from the company's core aerospace and defense businesses to enhance its strategic and operational focus, and drive long-term value for stakeholders. Fort Worth-based Bell Helicopter would remain with Textron. 

Tarleton State unveiled its Fort Worth Master Plan last night, a vision to guide its continued growth and development of the campus the next two decades. The vision focuses on expanding academic programs, student life, on-campus housing, research opportunities, and community service and engagement at the campus located along Chisholm Trail Parkway. Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern re-submitted their $85-billion merger application to the Surface Transportation Board, proposing the country's first transcontinental railroad.
