JLL announced the historic 110 W. 7th Street building in Fort Worth is for sale. Known as the Bob R. Simpson building, the 11-story, 101,390-square-foot boutique office space is the largest historic registered building in downtown. JLL Senior Managing Director Ryan Matthews said, âThe next owner has the option to knock out the interiors and keep it as office space or continue the path of converting the building to hospitality or residential." No price is listed.
UT-Arlington Professor Kenny Zhu and his research team's paper âTowards Automatic Discovery of a Canine Alphabet,â has received the Association for Computational Linguistics Outstanding Paper Awardâ one of only 25 selected out of 3,400 submissions. Their research uses machine learning to convert dog vocalizations into phonetic representations â a step toward translating animal communication into human language.

For the first time in more than 30 years, a Federal Reserve rate decision had a double dissent among the 12 voting members. The Fed kept the benchmark rate unchanged at 4.25%â4.50% during Wednesday's meeting. Two Fed Governors â Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman â dissented in favor of a 25-basis-point rate cut. It was the first double dissent since December 1993.
