Texas Health Mansfield Stadium will be the home of MLS Next Pro club North Texas SC.
REV Entertainment, the events and facilities business created by the Texas Rangers, secured a 10-year naming-rights deal with Texas Health Resources for the $88-million stadium in Mansfield. The 7,000-seat venue, home of the Major League Soccer Next Pro club North Texas SC, will open this summer. Texas Health Mansfield Stadium is owned by the city and will be operated by REV and FC Dallas.
The NFL, ESPN and its parent company Disney closed on their agreement that gives the NFL 10% equity in the sports media giant and ESPN control over the NFL Network and it's 50 million subscribers. ESPN also will acquire the league's fantasy football operations, as well as rights to distribute NFL RedZone to pay-TV operators. The 10% equity is valued in the billions of dollars.
Helicopter Institute, a flight training and certification school located at Meacham Airport, has been awarded a $57,484,392 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through October 2030. It provides designated Rotary-Wing Naval Flight Students with basic, primary flight instruction in a commercial helicopter in support of the Chief of Naval Air Training. Work will be performed at the Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth. Randy Rowles is the President.
The Arlington location of advanced simulation and training solutions CAE USA has been awarded a $69,879,521 modification to a previously awarded Phase II for work on the F-16 Block 70 Training Simulators program for the Taiwan Air Force. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $127,999,185 from $58,119,664. Work is expected to be completed by Aug. 29, 2028.
Mesa Vista Ranch (MV2 Ranch) -- 12,000 acres in Roberts County, Tx., and part of the former 64,000+ acre Boone Pickens ranch -- has been sold to Botas Rotas LLC, managed by Tim Cummings. He is the founder, owner and President of Southlake-based Cummings Electric, which specializes in construction, manufacturing, engineering, installations and service solutions that are scalable and built to last. The seller was Mesa Vista Ranch LLC, led by Bailey Peyton and J. Bradford Smith. The Real Deal reported the sale of the property that was listed for $19.5 million.
Democrat Taylor Rehmet, a union president and Air Force veteran, defeated Republican Leigh Wambsganss in a Texas Senate runoff for the Fort Worth-area 9th District. Unofficial results show Rehmet with 54,267 votes, or 57.20%, and Wambsganss with 40,598 votes, or 42.80%. Rehmet replaces Kelly Hancock, now the Texas comptroller.

Senior Nannies Home Care Services and Senior Advantages Assisted Living Placement Services, a large personal care operator in the southeast U.S., has joined forces with Choice Health at Home, a leading multi-state operator of home health, hospice, personal care, rehabilitation, and specialty in-home services. The transaction gives Choice entry into Florida, a strategic anchor. Choice, headquartered in Tyler, is part of Fort Worth-based Coltala Holdings.
Five years ago last week, GameStop shares reached a high of $120.75. They closed at $23.88 Friday. The CEO of the Grapevine company -- Ryan Cohen -- has a plan to acquire a multi-billion-dollar company that eventually gets GameStop to a $100-billion entity. Moonshot Electrical & Controls is transforming a 505,297-square-foot facility at 1100 Spinks Road.
