In case you missed it: A man drove his Cybertruck into Grapevine Lake to test the vehicle’s “Wade Mode” feature, promptly disabling the truck and requiring a fire department crane to fish it out. The driver was arrested and charged — including no valid boat registration, operating a vehicle in a closed section of a lake, and multiple water safety violations – and apparently was unaware that Tesla’s manual caps Wade Mode at roughly 32 inches of water.
The Surface Transportation Board gave Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway 60 days to re-file its request to review Union Pacific’s compliance that the board imposed to preserve competition after UP’s 1996 acquisition of Southern Pacific. The board said BNSF’s November petition was too vague, lacked sufficient documentation and did not specify which merger-related conditions UP allegedly violated.
The Fort Worth Film Commission won the Emerging Location Award at the 2026 Global Production Awards. The film commission was honored for demonstrating major growth in productions, infrastructure, crew development and industry support.
A first production, factory-engraved Henry rifle -- one of the "Lincoln Cabinet" guns -- will go to auction June 27 in Bedford.
